Wedding Ceremony Consultant
So your best friend has just asked you to officiate their upcoming wedding, and you’re honored and flattered, but you have no idea where to start. Or you’re getting married and you’d love for your brother to marry you so he can be the one to say all those magical words, but you’re not sure how he’ll go about putting together a great ceremony. Where to even begin? And what needs to be included to meet the legal requirements? How do we complete the license? Yikes!
I can help.
I’ve been officiating weddings for three years, and in that time, I’ve performed more than a hundred weddings in all different venues, from backyards to ballrooms and everything in between (even a dispensary!). My number one goal is to create a ceremony that is exactly what the couple wants it to be, and I can help you and your chosen officiant to do just that.
I would love to help you create a beautiful ceremony that you will cherish forever. Contact me today!
The Process
We will have a meeting, either in person or via Google Meet, with the bridal couple and their chosen officiant. I will explain how a ceremony is normally structured and what the usual order is for all of the elements: greeting, vows, ring exchange, etc. We’ll then talk about exactly what the bridal couple wants and doesn’t want for their ceremony, such as whether or not to incorporate spiritual elements or what kinds of readings they may want included. I will then take all of that input and put together a draft of the ceremony along with notations indicating which parts are legally required and which parts are optional. I will also send several alternatives for elements such as readings, vows, etc. By the end of our meeting, you will have a good understanding of how a ceremony is structured, and you will then be able to take the draft and fine tune it to make it into the ceremony that’s perfect for you.
In short, I’ll help you organize the whole process so that it’s as easy and stress free as possible.
Pricing
For everything described above I charge a flat fee of $95, if accomplished in a one-hour (or less) meeting. (The one-hour time frame refers only to the meeting. The $95 rate also includes my time after the meeting, writing the draft.)
If we should need additional time or additional meetings, I can accommodate that at a rate of $75 per additional hour. All you need to do is fill out the contact form and I’ll send you a proposal which will include an invoice for the $95 fee. Then as soon as I receive payment, I’ll contact you to schedule our meeting.
